How is monster HP calculated in Task Bar Hero?

A monster's row in the game files holds a base HP value that is never what you fight. The stage multiplies it by that stage level's HP multiplier and divides the result by 1000. The divisor is the step most people miss: the multiplier columns are stored at ten times the scale a division by 100 would assume, so skipping it puts every figure out by a factor of ten. This page shows the base value, the multiplier and the result side by side for every monster on every stage.

Which base monster stats are used to calculate stage HP?

The base HP and base attack from each monster's own MonsterInfoData row, which are shared across every stage that monster appears on. A Goblin has the same base stats at stage level 1 and stage level 90 — only the stage's multiplier changes, which is why the same monster can have wildly different HP in two different stages.

Why do Plaguelands stages have so much more monster HP?

Plaguelands applies a second scaling layer on top of the normal stage level multiplier. Its acts only use three stage levels, so the Plague Intensity of the stage — 1 through 20 — is what actually separates a manageable run from a punishing one, adding up to +40,500% max HP additively at intensity 20.

What stats do I need to clear a Task Bar Hero stage?

Compare the stage's total wave HP against your party's damage output, and its average monster attack against your defenses. The HP spread matters too: a stage whose toughest spawn has several times the HP of its softest will feel far swingier than its average suggests.
